1. RMSK (Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography

Targeted Trainee:

MSK specialists, radiologists, orthopedists, sports medicine.

Skills to highlight:

    •    High-resolution MSK ultrasound imaging of joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and nerves.
    •    Dynamic scanning techniques for real-time movement evaluation.
    •    Guided procedures: injections, aspirations, and biopsies.
    •    Proficiency with anatomical landmarks, pathologies, and scanning protocols (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, foot).
    •    Use of Doppler and elastography in soft tissue evaluation.

2. RPVI (Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation)

Targeted Trainee:

Vascular surgery, cardiology, interventional radiology.

Skills to highlight:

    •    Interpretation of vascular studies: carotid duplex, venous/arterial Doppler, ABI, segmental pressures.
    •    Proficiency with vein mapping, DVT studies, arterial duplex, and dialysis access evaluation.
    •    Understanding of hemodynamics, waveforms, and flow analysis.
    •    Correlation of ultrasound findings with clinical scenarios and decision-making.
    •    Knowledge of vascular protocols and reporting standards (e.g., SVU guidelines).

3. POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound)

Targeted Trainee:

Emergency medicine, critical care, internal medicine, primary care.

Skills to highlight:

    •    Rapid bedside evaluations: eFAST, lung ultrasound, cardiac views, IVC assessment.
    •    Procedural guidance: central line placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nerve blocks.
    •    Basic assessment of abdominal organs, bladder volume, gallbladder, aorta, and DVT screening.
    •    Integration of findings into immediate clinical decisions.
    •    Proficiency in handheld and portable ultrasound devices.
