**FOUNDER**

Dr. Tarek Khater is the founder of Khater Medical Services and the Khater Tutoring & Training Platform (tarekkhater.com). Dr. Tarek Khater is an Internist, ECFMG-certified, with a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine and more than 20 years of clinical experience in internal medicine, urgent care, sports medicine, nursing homes, pain management, and clinical research.

He is a Board member of the Point-of-Care Certification Academy (PCA) Council, a part of Inteleos with ARDMS &  APCA; he has devoted his career to advancing Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and diagnostic medical sonography, earning 10 advanced sonography certifications, including SPI, RDMS (Abdomen & OB/GYN), RCS, RVS, RPVI, RMSK, and specialized POCUS certifications in Emergency Medicine and Musculoskeletal applications.

Dr. Khater holds both a physician medical license and a permanent New York State teaching license in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He is highly skilled in musculoskeletal ultrasound of the joints and spine, and he performs advanced ultrasound-guided procedures, including trigger-point release and regional nerve blocks. His clinical and instructional expertise includes training Columbia University residents in vascular ultrasound at Harlem Hospital.

Dedicated to medical education, Dr. Khater has helped numerous students achieve high pass rates on ARDMS, CCI, and ARRT board examinations. His work reflects a commitment to high-quality patient care, technical excellence, and the advancement of ultrasound-based clinical practice.

Dr. Khater completed his medical education and internal medicine residency at Ain Shams University in Cairo, where he also earned his master’s degree. He had clinical training as a Fellow Physician in internal medicine, intensive care, and emergency medicine at the Nasser Institute Hospital for Research and Treatment, one of Cairo’s most respected hospitals.

His career includes founding the first premarital genetic testing center in the Middle East, publishing in international journals such as the BMJ and Congress of Genetics in Melbourne, and conducting nationwide training on prediabetes and preventive medicine.

Dr. Khater is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), New York State Pain Society (NYSPS), American Medical Association (AMA), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
